The 4 Bridges 4 Kids weekend-long festival celebrates the work of Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area non-profits; improving quality of life for children living with autism and their families and promotes quality education throughout Northern Kentucky. The race also uniquely expands the small collection of races based in Northern Kentucky.

Why this event? Why now? Why Northern Kentucky?
The 4 Bridges 4 Kids Race Festival is dedicated to the welfare of local kids and their families.

The Northern Kentucky Education Alliance supports the collective efforts of member organizations increasing educational opportunities for children of all ages. By supporting strong education foundations in early learning, the Alliance helps motivate students’ enthusiasm for challenges in later education and their adult lives.

As the rate of ASD diagnoses increased nationwide, resources for families impacted by this trend in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area once seemed limited. Thanks to the work of the Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Center for Autism, and the 3rd Annual Autism Expo hosted by the Families with ASD organization, local families are empowered to care for themselves through access to better resources and educational tools that encourage understanding in their immediate communities.

Finally, the Festival’s title 4 Bridges 4 Kids 10 mile point-to-point race represents a unique addition to the small collection of athletic events in the Northern Kentucky area. Spanning 4 cities and 4 Ohio and Licking River bridges, the course challenges runners of all ages and ability levels, while adding a unique twist to the typical fall marathon training program.

Who are we?
The 4 Bridges 4 Kids race directors group began as a handful of runners that envisioned a 10 mile point-to-point course packed with Kentucky’s hills and the Ohio River’s bridges. Motivated by our non-professional involvement with community organizations supporting both autism and education, we were thrilled to welcome our charities as partners in bringing this event to life.

Our group currently consists of 4 race directors:

Emilie Pradera
Scott Holloway
Tonya Fischer
Lorrie Barnes

The 4 Bridges 4 Kids group is dedicated to executing a quality inaugural race that will begin an annual tradition in the area. To that end, we are working to achieve non-profit status so that we can grow with our festival. Thank you for your support!
